Lowestoft Museum's 50th Anniversary
In 2022, we reached a major milestone. There has now been a Lowestoft Museum for 50 years. Originally opened in The Prarie in Lowestoft town centre, we moved the Nicholas Everitt Park in 1985 and have been here ever since.
To mark the occasion we've highlighted items displayed in that original building with special 50 stickers so you can see the things that were there at the very beginning.
Our celebration coincided with the Festival of Suffolk torch relay, and they made a stop at the museum for a quick photo with Paul Durbidge and our other volunteers.
