STORY TELLING SESSION

8/9/2018 (Heritage Open Weekend 1)

The past is full of stories, so we've enlisted a professional to come and tell some in the summer sunshine.

On this page we will bring you details of

Events being held at Lowestoft Museum

during the Season

FAMILY DAY

12/08/2018

In the first of our Summer Events, we're going Back to the Stone Age. Featuring no DeLoreans, but plenty of prehistoric themed activities

THE CART OF CURIOS

(aka the Cabinent of Curiosities, or Wonder Wagon.)

Mondays 13/8, 20/8, 27/8 and 3/9

We've worked with heritage groups across Lowestoft to bring you this box of stories. Come and see it and meet the brains behind the project on these Mondays!

(If you want to suggest another name for it, please do!)

VICTORIAN DAY

9/9/2018 (Heritage Open Weekend 1)

Continuting our weekend of events, we've bought a Victorian to Lowestoft Musuem to tell us what they think of it

SUFFOLK PUFF DEMONSTRATION

13/9/2018 and 14/9/2018 (Heritage Open Weekend 2)

One of our most interesting pieces is a Suffolk Puff blanket, and we get so many questions about how it was made, that we thought we'd find someone to show us, so come down to watch and help us kick off a massive program of events to end the summer!

MODEL RAILWAY DAY

15/9/2018

(Heritage Open Weekend 2)

Who doesn't like a good model railway? We've managed to get a model of Oulton Broad's local system from it's busiest point. It promises to be fascinating for anyone with even the slightest interest in local history

WUFFA RETURNS

16/9/2018

Local Anglo-Saxon reenactors Wuffa return to Nicholas Everitt Park to show us life 800 years ago. If all goes to plan, they should have a couple of surprises in store to end the summer in dramatic style...
